Tom Fields Has Passed Away

John just received word of the passing of Tom Fields on January 20, 2012. Tho better late than never, our deepest sympathy goes out to Tom's friends and family. And now, thanks to the efforts of Garland Edgell, we're able to add Tom's obituary to the class blog:

(December 20, 1939 - January 20, 2012)

A celebration of the life of Mr. Thomas Wayne Fields, 72, of Chatom will be held

Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 2 P.M. from the Shriner’s Hall in Chatom.

Everyone who knew and loved Mr. Wayne is invited to join the family in saying

goodbye to him.

Mr. Fields passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at his residence in Chatom. He

was a graduate of Spring Hill College, Summa Cum Laude and received his

masters from the University of South Alabama in counseling at the age of 47. He

graduated with a 4.0 GPA. He served as a consultant to ECI in Chatom.

He is survived by his wife Faye Sellers Fields of Chatom; mother Emma Cumbo

Heggan of Chatom; step father Robert Heggan of Chatom; step son Robert

Henson, V of Chatom; brothers Marshall Fields, Bruce Fields, Michael Fields,

Patrick Fields all of Columbus, OH; many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws;

nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father Paul Noble Fields.
